BELIZE SECURITY... NO PROBLEM. It feels good to be in a country where the prime minister
shows up for a school function and just walks right in through the hotel with
his wife. This is exactly what happened on a Friday night while my son and I
were in Belize. No major security that I could detect... never saw an armed
guard. Where else in the world could the top man in power do this???!!!!
The US State Department has issued travel warnings for just about every
destination in the world (except Belize)... we even received one dated August 6, 2002 for
travel to Canada. Certainly it is wise to note the State Department
warnings, but in doing so, keep a proper perspective on things. Safety
of our guest is always a prime concern at Action Belize and under no
