A #1 Rated & Totally Unique
ActionBelize
Adventure
Many have floated an inner tube down a river, and many have explored a cave...
But only a select few have ever floated an underground river through a series of
caves!

CAVE TUBING
INCLUDES:
Pick-up at cruise ship dock area for
transportation (about 50 minute ride) to the jungle rain forest of Belize.
Trip includes all necessary transportation, guide, headlamp, inner tube, life
vest, and bottled water. On the way back and if time permits, we stop at
the famous JB's "watering hole" where you can purchase lunch and/or the
refreshment of your choice. We will have you back at the cruise ship
tender area in plenty of time for you to catch your cruise departure.
LUNCH:
Cruise ship schedules can change, and only if there is adequate time will we
stop for lunch. The main goal is tubing... not dining. If we do have
time and stop at JB's, you can buy a nice Belizean lunch (chicken, rice, and
beans) for around $5. We feel this is better than to have the lunch
included in the price and then not be able to provide it if time is short.

Our Air-Conditioned 14 Pax. Vans are the
Transportation of Choice.
Larger buses are available for large
groups.

GUEST'S FEEDBACK:
The Dear John letters we are working hard
to receive...
Dear John:
Just returned home yesterday from our cruise on Carnival Inspiration.
I had booked a while back with you for the Cave Tubing in Belize (9 in our
group). We went this past Thursday (although I had made my reservation
for Friday since Carnival failed to tell me they changed ports a month prior
to departure but that was squared away on Wed. evening with a phone call to
you & a rep. was promptly waiting for us Thurs. - thank you). We were
assigned Roberto as our guide. I can't say enough nice things about this
man. We had a few non-swimmers in our group, one being my husband.
At a prior port he had a unpleasant, scary experience with his inflatable
snorkel vest while snorkeling & became extremely stressed upon hearing that
the water could reach 30 feet deep in areas of the cave. Roberto
assured him that although it was not necessary for his safety, he promised
he would stay with him throughout the tour and held true to his word.
He had the non-swimmers hook their tubes together using their feet & pulled
them along by hand when possible or with his feet when in deep water.
This was no easy job as although we felt like we were paddling like crazy,
you don't move all too easily!!! At the point of the whirlpool area
where everyone had to go solo he watched like a hawk to be sure everyone
felt safe & secure. He maintained a sense of humor and our group
laughed throughout the whole thing. My sister, who really did not want
to do this but only went because I said she could not stay in town alone,
said the tubing was the highlight of her vacation. She can't remember
when she laughed so much. Please tell Roberto thank you for his
patience in handling such a spastic group! I wouldn't hesitate to
recommend Action
Belize,
and especially Roberto, to anyone I know visiting Belize. -

Dear John:
We were able to hook up with your people at the
docks. I want to take a moment and let you know how it went.
Your staff was very
professional and courteous. They took the best of care with my family.
The cave tubing was awesome. Nothing else like it. The guide we
had was helpful and he got us there before the 13 cruise busses that showed
up after us. We were already down to the end of our journey by the
time the others started. It was great, we practically had the whole
place to ourselves. We wanted to stop and eat so our guide took us to
a brand new restaurant and we had the whole place to ourselves. Our
guide had an extensive knowledge, love and dedication to his country.
We spent a long time over lunch just chatting about the country and all the
beautiful places to visit. On our return bus ride, he took us to a shop with
all handmade crafts to shop instead of in the middle of tourist row.
Out of our 8 day cruise, your staff made that day the best day of the whole
trip. Thank you for booking us on this shore excursion. I will
be sure to recommend your company to everyone. Shelly

DETAILS:
After the 50 minute ride in our
air-conditioned van, you will enter the dense jungle area of the rain forest.
Within lies a river fed by mountain springs. Your guide will then take you
on a hike through the jungle... there are many tales to tell and lots to learn
about the eco-environment you will traverse. Guests need to walk up and
down the jungle trails in the Maya Mountains. You don't need to be
mountain climbers and it isn't aerobics, but it is somewhat physical, so the
faint at heart need not apply. After the hike you will arrive at the entry
point of the stream where you will mount your tube for the guided ride down the
river. As you head through the caves, it's "lights on" as there is no
natural light to be found inside. Explore the stalactites and
stalagmites... do you remember which one is hanging down?? (Ask your
guide) The trip will end back at the starting point where you can change
into dry shoes and clothes. If there is time on our return trip, we will
stop at the famous JB's Watering Hole for refreshments and lunch. (You can
purchase the Belizean lunch of chicken, rice, and beans for around $5) We
will have you back to the cruise ship dock in plenty of time for your departure.
Total time for this excursion from pickup to drop-off at the cruise ship dock
will average 5-6 hours. Planning another excursion after this is
impractical to impossible, considering the time factors.
EQUIPMENT:
We suggest you start your trip with the
idea of getting wet. You are required to wear shoes through the caves and
while fording the stream as rocks could be sharp. You can leave a dry
change of clothes and shoes in our vehicle (secured) while you are tubing.
It is a good idea to wear swim wear (or clothes to get wet in) under your dry
clothes to expedite getting on the trail at the cave tubing launch site.
Water resistant cameras with flash will capture some memorable moments for
sure.
PRICING:
Our 27 year history in Belize leaves us a reputation
to maintain. We are located right on the cruise ship dock and will conduct
your tour in the professional manner you demand. We have the best value in
town: $59 PER GUEST
With 11 paid, the 12th goes FREE.
<<<CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN.
TIPPING:
Our guides will
work hard for you. Tipping is not only greatly appreciated, but highly
appropriate! Let our guides know just how you really appreciate them!
US currency is like handing them 18 carat golden nuggets!
AGE LIMIT:
Under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Kids under 12 years... ASK US. (An exception could be considered for a
mature young person that is comfortable in the water and accompanied by a
parent)
PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Cave tubing is an outdoor
based adventure activity in a natural jungle rain forest setting that is subject
to the natural elements. A participant should have the ability to walk for
45 minutes to an hour on somewhat improved trails in hilly terrain that can
sometimes be slippery.
OUR GOAL
is to give you the best day in Belize possible as we
want you back with us in the future. Action Belize is in this for
the long-term... celebrating our 27th year now, and BELIZE IS THE ONLY
THING WE DO!! We are NOT
affiliated with the cruise ship operations and are definitely NOT your typical
cruise ship tourist trap. We have our own equipment and our own full time
guides. For future planning, our packages are the best thing going
anywhere... great wholesale airfares, service, and value; we are constantly
striving to be your #1 Belize choice!
NOTE:
Although our tours probably have a 95% success rate as going according to plan,
there are certain conditions beyond our control that may render your
trip unsuitable or unsafe... we reserve the right to substitute a tour of
comparable value. An example would be a heavy rain in the mountains
overnight that could swell the river to a level that would make cave tubing
unsafe, or make a road to a specific destination flood, etc. Your safety
is primary concern.. and even though it is a rare occurrence, we appreciate your
understanding and cooperation in such matters. Some tours simply should
not be attempted by someone who is physically or mentally not up to the
challenge. Our guide has the right to suggest an alternate plan for such
an individual... in no case will safety of the person or those nearby be
compromised.
