OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION ~
Children as Young as 10 years old can now learn to dive! PADI Junior Open Water Diver Certification Over all this course is the same as the Open Water Course except for the limitations listed below. Requirements/Limitations: Student divers must be age 10 at the start of the course. Additionally, 10 and 11 year-old certified Junior Divers must dive with a parent, guardian or PADI professional (not just any adult) until age 12. Also, certification dives for student divers age 10-11 must not exceed 40 feet. Once certified, Junior Open Water divers are also limited to a maximum dive depth of 40 feet. Note: The instructor and parent must use sound judgment in evaluating young people for course eligibility. Not all 10-year-olds are candidates for certification. Those youngsters who are comfortable in the water, have the ability to master course content and possess the coordination to master skills will be highly motivated by this new opportunity. Factors to evaluate in assessing readiness include maturity, diving ability, desire to learn, etc. Study & Completion
