PROPOSED ITINERARY:
>>Day 1… Travel to
Belize.
Action Belize
has wholesale tickets on major carrier serving most major cities in the
US. Check in at the Belize Biltmore Hotel. At
5:00pm there will be a welcoming get together at poolside with tiki
bar for your favorite island beverages, followed by dinner at the
“Captains Table.”
>>Day 2... A day of fishing the pristine jungle waters of
Belize. Focus of fishing will generally be “inside” in the
sheltered jungle rivers. Wind and rough water is not a problem.
It will be a smooth and relaxing day. Snook and snapper will be
brought back for the evening feast.
>>Day 3… Another day of fishing; perhaps we venture to the reef
for grouper, snapper, kings, wahoo, and more. Or maybe a trip to the
flats for bones and permit; the captain will evaluate the weather and
tides and make the best determination. For sure, it will be a relaxing
and enjoyable day.
>>Day 4…
9:30 am we depart the hotel for a tour of the Altun Ha Mayan Temple
site. A Mayan Indian will guide us through their culture and discuss
many artifacts that have been recovered and preserved. Lunch will be
provided as we head for the
Belize zoo… a most
fantastic place to view all the exotic animals of Belize. No imports
here… all zoo residents are native to Belize. This not just a kids
zoo! Transportation will be provided to various restaurants. You can
choose and do your own thing for dining this evening!
>>Day 5… The final day of fishing. This will be the last chance
to catch that lunker that just might win you a trophy at the awards
supper. Did we mention that lobster will be served at this awards
banquet?
>>Day 6… We pack up for our 10:00 am flight to the island. The
short flight on Tropic Airways of Belize will land us at San Pedro on
Ambergris Caye. We check in at the Sunbreeze Hotel Resort and prepare
to pick up our golf carts for the run to Sweet Basils for lunch (order
off menu) on the North side of the island. We will do some more
exploring via the golf carts. It is up to the group to decide where
they want to eat and if they want to stay together as a group, or split
up as you decide.
>>Day 7… Lounging at the pool or beach or combing the shops could
be the order of the day. Perhaps this could be another golf cart
day!!??
>>Day 8... So sad... we must depart for home, but maybe can do it
again soon!
Above package includes boats, equipment,
guides, ground transportation, Biltmore meals – daily continental
breakfasts and box lunches for fishing days and Mayan tour, evening
dinners while at Biltmore (excluding Tuesday evening), lodging at double
occupancy, fishing license, taxes, service charges, golf cart rental on
Thursday, R/T airfare from mainland to Ambergris Caye, and R/T airfare
from Miami is included for $1988. Additional airline fuel
surcharge may apply. Tips and alcohol are not included.
